A washed-up private detective compelled to find a young woman’s missing father, unlocks the passageway of his own long-lasting mental trauma.

Synopsis

One evening while drunkenly asleep in his office, run-down private detective, Ray Williams, receives a letter from an anonymous young woman. In it she pleads with him to find her long-missing father. While he wrestles to begin his search, he is met by Junior, an older and weathered homeless man who sheds various truths about life, while re-igniting Ray’s motivation.

Meanwhile, Parker Flynn visits a mental hospital every day to see her father, who suffered severe trauma during her childhood which has made him silent and non-reactive. Even though she and the doctors have tried multiple remedies, her hope stays strong.

Eventually, both lives intersect as she unlocks a distant memory, bringing him back to reality, while Ray is led to discover he is on the same path.
